Ok quick and simple, the ratings system goes a little bit something like this:
1: Do not come within 10 channels, on either direction, of network that’s broadcasting this piece of schiss. Don’t spend any money to see this movie, even if someone pays for it, don’t even download it. This thing is bad, it’s not even the funny bad that you can sit there and laugh at how horrible it is. It’s just…. Bad and there’s nothing else you can say.
Examples: Pain Killer Jane, Flash Gordon (2007) House of the Dead. Well, any Uwe Boll movie.

2: This is the funny bad. The show pretty much sucks but it has that one hot chick, cool fight scene, or special effect sequence that you might want to see for the hell of it. If there is nothing, and I mean nothing, else on why not semi-watch it as you do other things.
Examples: Blade: The series, Chuck, Transformers (Michael Bay edition)…lol… any Michael Bay movie. Spider-man 3.
3: True neutral (That’s a D&D joke) the show has enough good stuff BUT enough bad stuff to keep it as an ok show. You can watch it weekly but you are not expecting the thing to blow your mind with anything. You wont feel that bad for spending the ten bucks
Examples: Battlestar Galactica (Ron Moore edition) Stargate: Anything, Heroes, Torchwood, The Simpsons Movie, Hot Fuzz, Pitch Black, Equilibrium, Top Gun.

4: A show that can keep on tuned, even when it drops off a little there is still enough there to keep you entertained. A movie that ROCKED! Whether it rocked in action, drama, or comedy wise. It did it’s job but it didn’t excel
Examples: Lost, Law & Order: Anything, Smallville, Supernatural…yes the freaking WB, I mean CW thurday’s so what! 300, Knocked Up, Harry Potter series, Dark City. Bend it like Beckham.

5: Doesn’t mean its perfect but when the show hit it’s stride… My gaaawwwddd! There’s nothing in the world that can keep you from watching this. There’s nothing in the world that can come close.
Examples: Farscape, Docto Who, The Thing, Aliens, 28 days later.
Then there’s the .5s.

When you see a .5 in my rating system it means that there was something in there that really surprise me. I could be something really good that elevated the film/show a bit, or it could be something really stupid that basically threw away almost all the good the show/film had build up. This is represented by the raised brow which I have been doing waaaay before the rock.
WTF LOL you listed Dr. Who a 5 and bsg at 3….someone has some screwed up ideas about what’s good.
